Recipe
Veg Pulao + Raita
Veg Pulao + Raita cooks like a weeknight: lighter, direct, and ready for the table.
Start with basmati rice and mixed frozen peas & carrots.
From the first sizzle to the bowl, about 30 minutes, and it's gentle enough for kids if you hold the hot chili.
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups basmati rice
- 1 cup mixed frozen peas & carrots
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 cucumber
Steps
- Rinse rice. Fry cumin in oil, add rice and veg; stir 2 min.
- Add 2.5 cups water and salt; cover and cook 18 min on low.
- Mix yogurt, grated cucumber, and pinch of salt for raita. Serve pulao with raita on the side.
